When we purchased the property in 2018, one of the most charming elements was the country General Store on Crooked Pines Farm. The owners of Crooked Pines hosted so many fun events, from camps and festivals, to Christmas tree lots and pumpkin patches. The General Store served as home base for a lot of these events, and we found remnants of lots of cool stuff— homemade jams and bloody mary mixes, jars of pickled this-&-thats, holiday ornaments, fossil bags, and more!

We wanted to restore the building and make sure it lived on as a fun spot where good times would roll! This is the same building that dons the giant Heartwood Acres mural on its backside.

Over the summer, we gave it a modern makeover— cleaning it out, painting the interior, installing tongue & groove ceilings, restoring & sealing the floor, adding heating & air conditioning, & replacing the door with a metal frame window door to match the feature doors of the main barn. Add some furnishings, and wallah!—The groom’s lounge was born!

Bar...stools...tv...couches...record player...pool table (coming soon). All the lounge things await!

Though we call it “the groom’s lounge”, this building can be utilized and enjoyed for any type of event booked at Heartwood Acres. It’s just a chill place, ready for some serious hanging out…
